Mixing tropheus

Postby Korhil » Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:45 am

I am going to set up a 4 or 5 foot tank for tropheus ? But there are 3 varieties I like , would it be ok to have 10 or 12 of each variety in together ? Would the varieties cross breed or stick with their own colours ? Does it matter if they cross , health wise ? Thanks.

If it matters is it an ethics thing or a health thing ? Thanks.

Ethics really, if its just for a show tank and you remove no fry to sell on then there should be no problem.

Ok that's what I thought you meant if for , and no I wouldn't sell on anything that I thought wasn't a true line ? They would be purely for me to look at ?

Hi I have heard if you mix tropheus 1 species will be dominant in the tank and only they will fully colour up
