Astatotilapia aeneocolor

Rescued a male that was close to deaths door from a friends tank to try and bring him back to life as all she was going to do was flush him.Had a 100% success with him and hes going great guns. Also she gave me the female aswell and have recently spawned.

Am debating putting them into my mbuna tank together when alls good with them both or would i just get the same as my friend had a beaten up male?Or shall i just keep them as a pair in there tank as is?

I would keep them separate, what tank was they in? If it was a similar tank to yours then you need to think why did it happen in the first place.
