Unipac Congo sand

Postby Runneil » Sun Jan 05, 2014 9:28 pm

Hi folks, a question about Unipac Congo sand, those of you who have it, is it possible to use one of those gravel vacuums on it or is it too fine for that and would just get sucked up ?

I'm using a fine black gravel at the moment which is good because you can vacuum it and get a lot of gunge out of it without losing the substrate, however I think this sand may lighten the tank up a bit which would be good but I do not want to lose the ability to vacuum it.

If that makes sense

I have congo and I use a vac sometimes. You can use it yes but you just squeeze the hose so its not as fast. :tu:
