Very nice Clare. The boat shots are superb  :text-coolphotos:

I've always found hdr either looks superb or just crap.

I've not used hdr toning from just one shot, or one that looks any good anyway but from usually about 7 different exposures

As simple as I can explain Dave, If you take for example 3 pics of the same scene. One normal, one at -1 exposure compensation and one at +1 compensation and merge them together, you'll find all the detail and information from each pic is merged into one.

You can also do hdr of just one pic in PP too

I am not that happy with the boat photos as I have washed out the sky.

My better HDR have been with 5 shots 1 stop between them.

I thought you had gotten that tutorial the other month when I first started doing it with the lions?

It is good and you will get really good results and be really chuffed. :tu:

I love these!

Seen alot of people on the photo sharing app doing this and never knew what it was, I thought they were just blurring on an editing program

If you have light room as well Clare you can get photomatix plug ins for it... personally though I prefer using the full package. Just be careful with photomatix make sure you always give it RAW files as well as you loose tons of info out the image if using JPG.
