B&W Blackpool

Black and whites of blackpool. Tried to get them looking old. This was before I figured how to resize the images without totally pizel compression so they are alittle blocky.

Nice shots Clare :handgestures-thumbup:

I love the lines on the first one and the strong shadow taking you down the road. The 2nd one has a great old time feel to it and co so easily be an old postcard shot with that lovely high key exposure. The shadow on the 3rd one is perfect, but I think the last is my favorite it has a real old time feel, it gives you a real sense of the size of Blackpool beach a great landscape shot, it kind of reminds me of a Lowry painting, love it.

Thanks guys.

The only thing missing from these photos were people. I remember as a kid the beach used to be packed with people.

I love the place, its not half as familyfied as it was when I was a kid but you can still have a brilliant weekend away. Much more expensive than it used to be though but then again everywhere which is a tourist place has gone stupid over the last 10 years.

I just go to blacky for a day with good old 2p's and for the fresh doughnuts and brilliant subjects for the camera.

I promised my Daughter I would take her in the summer for a day, she is already saving 2p's.
