leaking eheim 2073

Postby ant » Sat Jul 28, 2012 12:14 pm

Yesterday i was given a leaking eheim 2073..
I found out it was leaking where the power chord comes out of the powerhead...
I did some research on the net and found out it was a product fault..
I also found a few vids on how to dismantle the filter, solve the leak etc...
So this morning thats what i did repair it..
It is running from a bucket to see if the leak is properly sealed.
So far after an hour all is ok....
Powerful aswell, might even use it..

No....i ran the filter for five hours and it still leaked from the same place..
Perhaps the o'rings wanted replacing along with the main seal.....

Try some vaseline on the 'o' rings pal. Normally does the trick.

Oh well.
Cost of some seals would be ok if you get it all up and running :)
