I have known a few to get second hand. There are sometimes some good deals on bulk tank sales kicking around the net.

Yes I know which ones you mean. I bought one the other day for serenity but it had sponge bob princess bride and hot pink glass beaded substrate. Hopefully she will get bored before the age of 16 and opt for A more subdued substrate.

I was wondering if you would believe me or not. Lol.

Alot of the time, yes the stuff does come with other stuff, a pita but sometimes it has to be done to get what you want.

Glad you won something this week. :handgestures-thumbup:

I have a bid in on a 3ft tank but there's a few days to go yet.

Make that ONE tank! I just heard they have broken the small one getting it down from the loft... :(

Oh dear...... seriously not your month with tanks is it. Hope you get lucky and find some real good bargains. :handgestures-thumbup:

In all honesty, if it was for a fry or small juvie tank, I would use them. Its the type of thing I pick up for pence at car boots or rif raf buckets in LFS for the fry/juvie needs. Always in tanks which are never on show though lol. You should see whats in my juvie and hara tanks lol.
