Pond Sealant and Silicone

Postby Scott » Sun Dec 02, 2012 12:21 pm

I have been reading a few threads and watching a couple of DIY videos, and now fancy building my own one off display tank.
My question is.

Does any one know if aquarium silicone will stick effectively to the various pond sealants we have available in the UK.
I know there is a product from Pond Armor in the US called PondShield, but does anyone know of a UK equivalent?

The only thing I have always been told is that silicone only stick's to glass ,as in a proper bond , It will not stick to anything else on a permanent strong bond basis ,on this note make sure if you are using old glass that all the old silicone is removed as in the residue that is left behind on the glass :tu:
