Sadly not, not really. A shallow scratch can be buffed out with window stuff if the tank is empty.

A deeper one can not really be fixed on the average width glass tank.

Seen them both side by side, and it does make a big difference, although only if your water is very clear to begin with, and the green tint in float glass becomes less apparent in smaller tanks (with thinner panels)
