Hoe does it switch off your heater independantly Jim??

Do you have to wire it up or something?

another question regarding these,i need 2 300w heaters for my new tank does this mean i need 2 of the atc's

i run 1 300 w in my tank & have never needed 2
if you do want to run 2 then you could put a 2 way plug onto this & use 1 of them , its really an extra thermostat that wil cut out ur heater should it stay on , i cant see why it wouldnt work with 2 of them

u plug the heater into it & if it goes over a certain temp it cuts the heater off, if your heater gets stuck on then this will cut it off, dead easy to set up , u just plug ur heater into it

there what i use in some of my tanks they are really good i will eventually have them in all my tanks they also have the added benifit of having a safety feature wereas if you foget to switch it off during a water change and you go bellow its level with water it switches itsself off :handgestures-thumbup:

I use the Rena smart heater- Fantastic!!

Soon put a stop to my big front smashing the glass one off the back of the tank :naughty:
