Stocking my 240 liter tank

Postby dez_newman » Thu Jan 28, 2016 2:08 pm

Right this is the next question, what should I get in a few weeks time ? When everything is settled down.
I was thinking:
4 X Cynotilapia Agra Cobue
4 X Aulonocara Lwanda
4 X Super red top Hong
2 X Bristle nose plecs
1 X Synodontis of some kind.

Any thoughts?
Is this to much or not enough I do like the Red Empress as well

;)
Thanks all

I've never kept the Agra Cobue so can't comment. The rest certainly work as I've experienced - the Lwanda is a firm favourite of mine. My only comment is with such things as Synos you should have a group otherwise they are very secretive.

When I found this out I preferred to go the Botia route and have 6 of them and they are active around the tank :tu:
Otopharynx Lithobates
Protomelas Steveni Taiwan Reef
Neo Omnicaeruleus Makobe
Pseudotropheus Polits
Aulonocara Firefish Ice
Lab Super Red Top Hongi
Ndumbi Super Red Top
Socolofi 'Snowflake'
Lab Caeruleus
Lab Chisumulae
Bristlenoses
Botia Striata/Kubotai

For a 240 the Red Emps are a little big really.

The Lwanda you may find wont colour due to them being quite a submissive temprement and males would happily stay silver in a tank full of dominant mbuna.

If I don't get Lawanda what would be a good peacock to get.
