Finally My Malawi 350Ltr Corner tank

Postby LoverRock » Thu Oct 31, 2013 11:46 pm

Please take a look and comment on my tank.

I've have had it since March this year and have only stocked it with fish from Tonys.

Its got XP3 filtration and small power-head with a sponge and 33 fish in total. The rockwork is Cotswold Stone
Im looking to add Ozone to help with water quality and LEDS, although I'm not sure about the shimmer effect and how it would affect the living space. I have a fairly strict husbandry routine, with a 70% water change at temp every 5 days, with a gravel clean and a good clean of the glass every other change. Filter gets looked at every 3 week or so. Tank temp is 26.
Thanks

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, really appreciate it. In the mean time, if anyone could recommend any improvements regarding my tank then please fire away.

I was going to add ozone to this tank but having tried to connect the air pump to a venture on a power head, I have discovered its way to noisy for the living room :(

I would of course love to get a bigger tank (and living room), a nice 800ltr, with a good selection of haps, peacocks and mbuna. Would definitely go for a sump, with a moving bed filter, ozone and refugium but that is just a dream at the moment.
