I bought some snails from T@A and have multiplied 10 fold but not fast enough to feed them. The little 2 cm blighters are nipping and killing snails bigger than they are. I have had snail eggs by the thousand in fry tanks and few have reached any size ! My Alluaudii have spawned twice since but all snails have all but gone :handgestures-thumbdown:

Although my snails were of the softer shell types they have been known to attack trumpet snails even though they cant crush them. I am now convinced hippo points can extract as well as crush the softer snails with the Alluaudii being the masters of crushing i may have to try the trumpets.

What a nightmare i had this time,
was booked to arrive at 08:00 just to see on the tickets arrives at 10:00.
then the management on the ferry at Roscoff decide to go on strike so i'm going in circles waiting for them to move their ferry so we can dock. Finally get on land at 12 noon.

I had them phone my friend as i speak no French and he very little English to come and meet me at the port as there was too little time to get to his house.

Going through customs i was surrounded by 4 armed guards wanting the box in the back of the car open and demanding paperwork for the fish - of which i did not bother with this time as it has never been asked for in the past. Luckily my friend came across with a big smile and shook everyone's hand and explained what they were.

That was that i thought until i tried to get back onto the ferry with 2 large boxes and a new shift of security !
After opening the boxes and blagged my way they let me on the ferry 15 minutes before it was due to depart.
The fact i was driving bare foot wasn't a problem !

Back in Plymouth there was no sign of any customs or security.

Must remember that paper work next time :text-lol:
