Finally - recieved a copy of lake victoria rock cichlids by ole seehausen - the only really definitive guide to vics - woohoo lots of reading to do

Well done mate, where did you end up getting it from.

About the best book for vics but only covers the Mwanza Gulf and part of Speke gulf in the southern part of the lake, so imagine how many more are to be discovered.

If you get confused with the old names they are referred to i can put a list up for you.

got it from v***jurn cichlids ( i can't spell it and can't find it on the web now - the place you recommended, cost £51 inc p&p but thought it was worth it)

They had a couple of posters i have never seen before a little while ago, but with a weakening pound i decided not to bother.

I think the book is out of print now,but a revision is well over due.
I think i paid $60 6-7 years ago when you got almost $2 TO £1. i think i bought a load of Cichlid News back issues at the same time.

If your anything like me you will need a dictionary for parts of it, it can get a bit heavy going :handgestures-thumbup:
