From I got these guys they haven't stopped breeding, have 1 male 4 females in the group

Three spare females there then Kelly ,these fish are paired parenting parent's :wink:

That's what I heard and apparently hard to breed. Not in that tank Tony he's doing the rounds, I remove the young after about a week and he's away onto the next female. Plus they are in a tank with mbuna you where right about the Tangs I lasted about a month :laughing-lettersrofl: Kept these guys just and some tropheus

Not hard to breed at all tbh :tu: ,I really like these fish but we seem to be in the minority :handgestures-thumbdown: .love the shape and when you get good coloured fish as you have and get them breeding their a great fish to keep and watch :tu:

Just it's the first time I've heard about the males being tart's :laughing-lettersrofl: :laughing-lettersrofl:

Yeh, everything I read about them told me total opposite of what is going on in the tank, have to admit the pics don't go them justice lovely orange only reason why I bought them and they just keep getting better. Male is a full tart have 4 or 5 batches of young growing on now, because they are so small I'm running out of tanks I had read if the male breeds with another female in the same tank he will kill the young from the previous batch still to be tested. Gonna let them just do there own thing now to see what happens.

Yeah ,really small fry,but once you get them to 1cm they grow quick ,brood average 200 ,4-5 brood's that's a lot of leleupi about the place :text-lol:

I taking them out at about a week so having to syphon them as can't really see them, always ones being missed there is three tanks of them at the minute so will leave them to it now to see what happens three tanks is enough, letting them grow in with the nicholsi they are around the same size when born at grow at aorund the same rate. Guys have been torturing me for them from they new they where breeding here :doh:
