At three years ago I bought my first 4 Geophagus. They are a pair of G. altifrons, Rio Xingu and a pair of G. sp. "orange head", Rio Tapajós. 24 hours later I loose 3 fishes with Ichthyophthrius multifiliis and I only could save one fish, that Gorgeous fish. Until now I didn't encounter selling that population of G. altifrons. So... I have only one male G. altifrons. With him I have 5 G. sp. "orange head", Rio Tapajós, a group of Mesonauta egregius and 2 Satanopercas.
Nowadays he live in an aquarium with 180cm long (70 icnhes) with his friends but without other altifrons. He is de dominant fish of the aquarium. He has 22cm long (more or less).
