any idea of your running costs per month once set up.i think i would buy water in already mixed at a quid a gallon is that the most cost affective way do it do you think.

the forums are a bit eliteist and nowhere near as friendly as the malawi ones i'm a member on, but the info is good if you dig enough. i have now not done a water change for 5 weeks and my params are perfect, (honestly - it surprised me too !!!) skimmer only runs overnight when we're upstairs and external filter only has carbon, phos remover and an old probably worn out nitrazorb pouch,

running costs are same as malawi i would guess except lighting as i've just upgraded to a metal halide and power compact unit

its easy and nowhere near as complicated as people make out.

i don't come on that often anymore so if you have any questions feel free to give me a shout at harris2134@hotmail.co.uk
all i can do is say how i've done it and whats worked or not, benefit being i'm not fully salty yet so a bit more realistic than some on the marine forums !!!!
