bad news wont be getting any fish for a good few months now due to the tank cracking on the bottom and emptied all the water :(. the crack wasnt near the rocks either. propper gutted as it had just finished cycling and the water was crystal clear :,(

Went marines myself for a few months - soon took away the enjoyment of fishkeeping for me with all the extra husbandry necessary.

Introduced a killer worm in the live rock, fewer fish swimming around, high water quality a must, RO water, really need a sump, expensive to maintain - became too much like hard work for me :td:

I 'd be inclined to buy a malawi and tell your son it's nemo's cousin Lemo

Boooo that sucks. Sorry about that. :(

Marines wow you have more patience, time and love for it than I ever have or could have. I would love it but I know whats involved and I know it would become a chore in no time.

My Malawis was going great and that gave me the confidence to go into marines. Big piece of work to change over.

Having returned I just love the movement of the greater number of fish and the developing colours are looking good.

I had some stunners in my previous setup and really regret the time (and money) my 'dip' into marines cost - but if I hadn't have tried I wouldn't have got it out of my system.

been thinking long and hard about what to do with the tank. decided to bin the tank and keep the cabinet for my 3ft tank and buy myself a new tank. but instead of gettkng another small 3ft tank im going to hopefully get a 5ft 450ltr tank :) so been lookibg around and have chosen a juwel vision 450 will be looking around to see if i can get one on 0% finance if not will have to save and wait till next yr to get it so will be waiting till i get that before i get malawis now.
