Anomalochromis thomasi breeding behavior?

Postby Ethalid » Mon Apr 07, 2014 12:24 am

My Anomalochromis thomasi pair are in an 80 liter community tank setting and recently their colours have become far brighter than usual. They also stick together and chase anything away from a certain area of the tank. My initial thoughts were that they had eggs but upon inspection there aren't any. They normally do not behave this way, there colors are normally much duller and the male just chases the female away every time he sees her. What do you think is going on?

Possible spawning. They sound like they are pairing up.
