Pleasent surprise

About a year ago my ancistrus catfish laid eggs in the cichlid tank. Actually they frequently laid eggs, but non survived as far as i know. One particular time i was cleaning out and picked up the males favourite shell, and hundreds of babies fell out, i thought they had all been eaten.

Anyway today i cleaned out the filter, got to the bottom and found three one inch catfish which had survived for several months in the filter...
