What species of Botia are ok with Haps

Postby Runneil » Fri Aug 16, 2013 9:23 pm

Ive heard of some people keeping Yo Yo Botias with Malawi's. Are there any other species of Botia that can be kept with them?

Thanks :tu: also do you have to feed Botia's and Syno's their own food or do they just feed on the left overs.

I do put in some courgette every few days and a few tablets here and there for my 6 Yo-Yo's and 3 Bristlenoses - seems to supplement there cleaning up after others.

I have seen some Striata's in a Malawi tank and they appeared to be ok - but not had first hand experience.

The Syno's were very secretive - I'd have had to keep adding more until they became confident to show themselves. At the time I didn't realise Botias would work - I just loved them from when I kept fish several years ago. I saw them in a video Tony was running about his Malawis - bought 6 and they are always on the go and really interesting.

When I bought them I was looking for Yo-Yo's, Striata's or Kubotai - it just so happened the LFS only had Yo-Yo's at the time.
